The Aspen Dance Connection was founded in 1978 by eight local choreographers: Dee Black, Cathy Crum, Donna Mysior, Linda Loeschen, Fran Page, Rachel Pasternak, Susan Thuman, and Sarah Pletts, who were committed to presenting their own original dance work. Many local dancers nurtured by ADC have gone on to successfully pursue professional dance careers throughout the country.
ADC presents annual Dance Lecture Demonstration Assemblies for whole schools since 2000, reaching 8,000 annually on the Western Slope from Aspen to Parachute, Grand Junction to Montrose, Paonia, and Crawford
MASTER CLASSES by guest artists for all age groups in Original and World dance styles.

SPECIAL NEED ADC taught special needs students for 6 years and created an opening performance for the Winter Special Olympics at Sunlight Mt, CO.
TRAPEZE, ADC was the first to present trapeze as an art form in Aspen on showcases for 7 years featuring Cathy Gauch, Kimothy Cross, Rainbow Canyon, Jacque and Elyssa Edgerly currently in
WORKS IN PROGRESS in all styles of contemporary dance for the next generation of dancers to share and receive feedback.

ADC consistently presents exceptional world dance. Since 2000, ADC has presented Zhongmei Dance Company (Chinese), Don Cossack (Russian), Chung-Fu Chang (Taiwan), Abdoulaye Camara, Maputo Mensah's LOGO LIGI, BAO BAO Fe (Africa), Capoeira Angola (Brazilian) and Signe Ramstrom (classical North Indian).
ADC has presented original dance by local Roaring Fork Valley choreographers, from Colorado and nationally known and presented dance artists such as: Sarah Pletts, Deidra Black, Annilii Cunningham, Fran Page, Chung-Fu Chang, Cleo Parker Robinson, Kim Olson, Nathen Montgomery, Kim Olson and more....

ARTISTIC/ EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Fran Page, M.F.A. from New York University school of the arts, founding member and director since 1986. She performed and choreographed extensively in New York City, Boulder, and Aspen, CO. She received the LIFE-TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the Colorado Dance Alliance in 2012 and LIVING LEGENDS OF DANCE in Colorado by Carson Brierly Giffen Dance Library, Denver University in 2017. Archives are being housed at the Aspen Historical Society and Carson Brierly Giffen Dance Library, DU.

The Aspen Dance Connection was great and the kids seemed to love it…as a matter of fact, they were doing the moves all the way down the hall. It was great to see an entire group of kids participate in the dance moves together.
